The Good, The Quirky, and The Random!

alicia-yarrish-spangdahlem-photographer-about-me

Hey guys!

I’m in the process of making a new ‘about me’ page with some photos of things I love and I realized… I’ve never done a post about ME! I will spare you all and only list 10 things 😉 Here goes!

– At Starbucks when they ask my name for the drink I give them a fake name. It’s so interesting to see what they say! Most of the time nothing besides asking about spelling, but sometimes they say things like “Oh wow, your name really fits you”. Which I find hilarious because one, they don’t know me and two, not my real name.

– My daughter, Juno, happens to be furry! I call her my daughter appropriately so… she truly thinks she is a human. Right now she is laying on the couch, head on a pillow, and under a blanket…. not a canine.

– I can’t dance at all, and certainly not a ballerina, but I adore tulle skirts! They are just so classic and uplifting. I think they can make any woman feel amazing 🙂

– You know those people that are absolutely crazy about Christmas and practically forced radio stations to begin the holiday music season [in your opinion] way to early? …I am that person, and I am sorry. I can’t help it– it’s my favorite time of year!

– And just because I am a crazy Christmas person it deserves two bullet points. I collect nutcrackers! I love going to Christmas markets or finding little boutique Christmas shops to find the perfect new nutcracker for my collection! (Seriously excited about Christmas markets in Germany this year!)

– French macarons are possibly the greatest thing since sliced bread. Ladurée anyone? I love their elegance, their flavor, and let’s be honest macarons are just plain adorable.

– I am 100% a Mac! I love love love Apple products! Some say I have too many Apple products, but honestly, what does that even mean? 😉

– Teylor and I did not have a formal wedding ceremony. Didn’t expect that one, huh? We got married at a park called Pirate’s Bay (appropriate for our name- YARRRRish) without telling our family (they were all ecstatic about our marriage… then not so much since they weren’t there). We are both dreaming of our actual wedding ceremony with all of our family and friends!

– Traveling makes me feel complete. Seeing new scenes, trying new foods, all the beautiful architecture, meeting new people… I could go on! I am so lucky to have been to 14 countries and I cannot wait to go back to those and explore new ones!

– I adore Audrey Hepburn, and all of her movies, but most of all I love Breakfast at Tiffany’s! One of my best friends got me a boxed set of Audrey movies and I wore those DVDs out! So a huge shot out to Netflix for adding Breakfast at Tiffany’s 😉

There you have it! A few things about me 🙂 Oh, and not to break my promise and go over ten things, but I have a feeling I would hear from my wonderful husband if I didn’t mention one thing… Our last name is actually not pronounced like a pirate ‘yarrr’, but that is how everyone says it so that is why Pirate’s Bay park was ironic.

OH! Last thing I swear- the photo above? Teylor got me an amazing leather photo album from Jinni Bic for our anniversary and I love it! If anyone is interested in seeing it I can do a post about it, but if you are looking for a journal or really anything leather bound- check them out!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
