From the first time I connected with Danica, I knew the wedding day at Arrowhead Hill she was planning was not only going to be beautiful, but wildly sentimental in the best of ways! Both Garrett and Danica grew up with an emphasis on family and their wedding day was a perfect reflection of that. Sentimental moments with a father-daughter first look, emotional gift exchanges, heartfelt toasts, surprises and so many other beautiful moments throughout.
We planned their engagement session not long ago and photographed at two beautiful locations. A European-inspired garden as well as a forest on the outskirts of Houston. Their sun-drenched engagement session was the perfect time to get to know these two cuties and learn more about their wedding day. Needless to say, I’ve been extra excited ever since to be a part of their wedding!
Danica had such a supportive group of girls surrounding her on her wedding day. And not only that- these ladies are fun! They gave her a singing exit from the bridal suite to go to her first look and were even so thoughtful to video her ‘last thoughts’ before seeing Garrett for the very first time on their wedding day.
And the same goes for the men Garrett choice to stand by his side while saying, “I do” to Danica. While they didn’t sing and clap him down the stairs before the first look they did make the day fun for him! They knew he’d need to loosen up before his real first look with Danica, so they planned a fake first look with a groomsman in a dress prior to him seeing Danica. Garrett said he needed it to relax a little and calm his nerves before seeing his stunning bride.
Their Springtime wedding featured hues of blush and mauve throughout the bridesmaid’s dresses, reception decor, invitation suite, and even their makeup. Arrowhead Hill was the perfect backdrop for Garrett and Danica’s wedding day they envisioned and brought to life! Even though we had typical Houston Spring weather with back and forth clouds and rain, the sun came out for us a bit too. And no matter the weather, this Houston wedding venue is always gorgeous.
