I’m certain anyone who knows Charley will agree when I say she’s just about the sweetest. And I’ve only known her a few weeks! The ladies at her Baytown bridal shower more than confirmed that. Women that have known and supported Charley her entire life came together to support her on the next big phase. Her family and friends offered advice, gifts, and unwavering support in the most sentimental of ways.
It’s a common tradition for bridal shower guests to give advice to the bride to be. But one of Charley’s family members took it a step further with a devotional focusing on the pillars of marriage. As a married woman, I can attest to her pillars and physical reminders of each are so appropriate and well thought out.
But these ladies didn’t stop at heartfelt advice. They also prepared a beautiful spread of pound cakes, fresh fruit parfaits, and the most delicious pecan clusters! I wish I could properly convey how amazing all their desserts looked. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a celebration in Texas without a tea-based punch.
I don’t get East of Houston often, but Charley’s Baytown bridal shower was more than worth the drive!
To Charley’s fun and inviting hostesses: thank you so much for inviting me not only into your beautiful historic home but also into your circle of friendship and family! It was so lovely to walk in and immediately be treated like family.
Charley, congratulations!! You’re now married and I’m beyond thrilled to have been a small part in your wedding planning and preparing process! I wish you two all the best. Judging by your bridal shower you two have an amazing support system. I know you two have built an amazing foundation. Thank you so much for the pleasure of documenting your bridal shower!
