When Jessica said she wanted her bridal session at her wedding venue, Emery’s Buffalo Creek I was so excited! At that time, I had not yet been to the Bellville winery and wedding venue. I knew it would be first and foremost a great time seeing and photographing Jessica again! Also meeting her Mom and seeing the venue first hand!
I walk into venues and locations very frequently and photograph them without seeing them before. It might seem crazy, but it’s completely normal for a trained photographer! However, I enjoy getting excited with my couples! When they talk about what part of their day is happening in what place I want to be able to imagine it. And subsequently, jump up and down excitedly with them! So I was more than happy to venture out to Bellville to see Emery’s for mysef before Braden and Jessica’s Emery’s Buffalo Creek wedding.
The venue has perfect photo spots no matter where the sun is. There truly are so many great portrait opportunities on the property! We started by their iconic doors leading into the winery, took some creative indoor portraits, and then when the light was just right we headed to their to be ceremony site. Behind the winery at Emery’s there’s a beautiful lake, rolling hills, and trees lining the skyline perfectly!
Lucky for us, the sunset was stunning. Pinks and oranges all across the sky gave us beautiful and flattering light. And we took full advantage shooting until nearly dusk.
You can imagine how difficult it’s been for me to keep Jessica’s Emery’s Buffalo Creek bridal portraits a secret. I adore the southern tradition of bridal sessions but I’ll be real honest. It’s difficult to keep them a secret! Especially when they are this good!
