From the moment I first spoke with Annissa on the phone I knew we were meant to be! This girl here shares my excitement level for lots of things but especially amazing love stories and buffalo engagement sessions! Throughout Annissa’s wedding planning we’ve touched base regarding COVID and how to handle it with her wedding, but quickly got off the pandemic topic and onto everything else about life. Annissa has been an absolute joy to work with and I’ve been so excited to meet Chadd!
Annissa’s outgoing and all smiles big personality shines through their engagement photos. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!
It’s not often that I recommend couples schedule their engagement session at their wedding venue. I usually urge couples to choose locations based on meaning and aesthetics. Well, for my couples getting married here it’s a bit different. At The Annex Wedding Venue, I do recommend we photograph your engagement session at your wedding venue! These buffalo and olive grove sessions can’t be beaten! And on your wedding day you won’t have an opportunity to go hang out with the buffalo so take advantage during your engagement session!
Chadd works out of town very frequently and lots of times on a moment’s notice. Needless to say, Chadd’s work combined with the weather and COVID had us rescheduling. Although I lost count of the amount of reschedules they were all well worth it!
You can tell by the photos, we had the perfect sunset during Chadd and Annissa’s engagement session! And I’m so thrilled! When I get a clear sunset the photos are so magical. Oh, and did I mention there were buffalo involved?!
The buffalo at The Annex Wedding Venue are seriously photogenic and I’m convinced they love the camera! Anytime you see Chadd not looking at the camera in these photos know that he’s 100% looking at the buffalo. We couldn’t stop staring at them! I for one have never seen buffalo that close up before.
I’ve always been thankful, first and foremost, for the people I have the pleasure of meeting while I work. Secondly, the places I get to jet set to and the experiences I get to have. Never did I ever think one of those experiences would be meeting and photographing buffalo! I felt like a NatGeo photographer in the wild that was just happening to photograph the most adorable humans’ engagement session!
So a huge thank you to The Annex for allowing buffalo engagement sessions to happen and to Chadd and Annissa for bringing me along for the ride!
