Filled in :
This past week has been a complete whirlwind! Between getting some great news and celebrating to seeing the Cherry blossoms in Germany to fun weekend session. And best of all? It’s finally warm and sunny outside– Hello, Spring! So of course we decided to pack up the cameras (and the baby) and head to see the famous Kirschbluten in Bonn!
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve gotten compliments on Greyson’s photos. Which is great and I so appreciate them. It’s true- it’s real nice for him to have a photographer as a Mom 😉 Our family loves it!
However, I only post the good ones online, until now. So today I thought I’d share what a ‘blooper’ set of photos looks like. Because contrary to popular belief, Greyson isn’t in the mood for photos all the time. Although, 80% of the time he does automatically cheesy smile when he sees my camera- which I don’t mind one bit!
So keep reading for some laughs!
– I’m certain you’ve figured it out, but Kirschbluten is Cherry Blossoms in Germany! It’s just super fun to say so don’t mind me over here repeating it.
– During pictures Greyson was yelling a lot of “No” and pointing to where he’d rather be. We did finally figure out that he was happier on Dad’s shoulders (after the fact, of course). So what I thought was going to be a wall worthy photo day was just the opposite. Thanks, Grey!
– I got an email last week saying that one of my favorite sessions will be featured on Cake and Lace! I cannot wait to share more, but for now it’s a secret. Shhhhh!
– On Saturday, I photographed two beautiful families! One in Bernkastel and the other near Bitburg. For sure check out those sneaks over on the AYP Facebook page! You don’t want to miss the beautiful German scenery! Remember Alex and Melanie’s engagement session? It was in Bernkastel- lovely town!
– While we were in Bonn on Sunday, I shot a little digital, but mostly film. Fun fact- I’ve never photographed Grey with my film camera before! He’s just so stinking wiggly, but I decided to try it! I’m so excited to see how he looks on film as well as the city, but I’ve got these digitals to hold me over.

Those cherry blossoms are so beautiful!! So jealous, we still have snow falling here! And honestly, the blooper images are my favorite! It shows the fun personalities! Great captures by photographer!
These “bloopers” are adorable – not really bloopers at all 🙂 And those cherry blossoms, I am always so envious when I see them. Congrats on the Cake and Lace feature!
Oh my goodenss I adore these. Those real moments are the ones you’ll want to remember forever! And the cherry blossoms are just gorgeous!
I love the unusual location you have chosen for this family! This is so rad and those blossoms are just incredible! I am still wondering what was baby holding towards his face on one of the photos?
Super adorable – I wish there were cherry blossoms in my area!
well, now I’m completely confused. Who’s Greyson? Your husband or the baby? Because I see only bloopers of your husband … LOL
Definitely love the session!
