I knew the hour and a half drive to Emery’s Buffalo Creek in Bellville for Braden and Jessica’s wedding day would be worth it. However, these two really exceeded my expectations! They created such an incredible experience for their guests and kept family and friends engaged and excited throughout their day. It might be coincidence or it might be that Jessica is in the wedding industry herself as a wedding coordinator. Either way- she put some serious thought into her big day. And I’m certain Braden made some super important decisions, too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Braden & Jessica | September 28, 2019

Jessica gifted her ladies with beautiful Kendra Scott earrings and also left a surprise for the boys. They opened their bags to find a bottle of Smirnoff Ice for each groomsman. Truthfully, the guys had to explain this tradition to me. I’m still not sure I fully understand, but from what I gather if you’re gifted a Smirnoff Ice you are supposed to get down on one knee and drink it very quickly. While I don’t think I could do it- this bunch were nearly professionals with the game.

Next up was Braden’s gift to his guys- thermal mugs etched with names and nicknames. One even said, “engagement coordinator”- I’m definitely going to need to get the full scoop on that one!

Gifts for the bridal party were just a start to the surprises, though. Next up was their letter exchange. This is one of my favorite ‘new’ traditions during a Houston wedding day. Brides and Grooms alike always look and feel so much more relaxed after reading a letter from their fiancรฉ. I’ve witnessed big-bellied laughs, adorable giggles, and a whole lot of tears throughout the weddings I’ve photographed. I won’t say which happened on Jessica and Braden’s big day- but you can scroll down and see the proof. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The biggest surprise for Braden was when Jessica walked down the aisle. She chose a stunning modern dress with the perfect amount of pattern (seriously- her dress might end up being my favorite of 2019!). Braden had let me know he was expecting lace and possibly even a princess-like dress. Well, even though Jessica looked like a princess her dress didn’t exactly scream puffy princess. Her sleek dress was absolutely perfect for her and Braden couldn’t agree more!

A surprise for their guests during the reception was their honeymoon dance game. This was a new one for me too! Both the bride and groom danced for donations into their honeymoon fund. And of course, whoever got the most monetary gifts won the game. When the DJ announced that this was the one time Braden would be accepting dances with men all the guys immediately formed a line. I’m thinking it was that line that put Braden’s honeymoon fundraising over Jessica’s. However- I was excited to hear a bit later that Jessica’s had some hidden large bills making her the true winner! That’s how it should be right? The wifey should always win?

The biggest surprise of all, bigger than Braden’s dance to retreive Jessica’s garter belt, was at the end of the night. And their guests loved the surprise! Be sure to check out the photos till the very end to see what the surprise was!
