The Provence region of France is one of my favorites- and that says a lot because I love every region in my second favorite country! Something about southern France transports you to another place and time. A simpler one with a focus on health and a slower pace. Because of that, it’s one of my favorite places to photograph weddings, too! It feels like such an appropriate place to slow down and appreciate the commitment of a new marriage and celebrate it.
So it was the perfect place for Michael and Donia to get away and elope. We started their Southern France elopement at their getting ready location which had a gorgeous courtyard for their ceremony then drove to the lavender fields of the Luberon. Then photographed their grand finale so to speak of wedding portraits at a beautiful lookout point. It took a 10-minute hike to the highest point overlooking the Luberon Valley. And it was well worth it!
With florals from Remi and Gold and hair and makeup by renowned Tepeino Puntocom, Donia was the most beautiful bride. Her dress selections from Claire Pettibone and Tatyana Merenyuk were absolutely stunning!
This is a day I’ll never forget. Being a wedding photographer is the most fulfilling thing I could possibly do. Add an amazing destination like Provence, France and it’s magical!
I love going to Elizabeth Anne Designs for inspiration and to keep current with wedding trends. So to see my sweet couple and photos on Elizabeth Anne Designs is a huge honor! Check out their feature here.
