At first my Monday Rendezvous series on the AYP Journal was to keep my couples in the loop of my life. Just another way to connect- a fun one! Since starting it last year though it’s become a time of gratitude for me. It gives me the opportunity to stop and reflect on the past week which let’s be honest, I don’t always make time for.

I get to laugh to myself about things that happened or conversations I had. Not only that, relive the fun times. On the other hand, it gives me a chance to learn from the hard things.

Since our miscarriage I’ve met resistance with my Monday Rendezvous series, because it’s been so hard for me to feel ALL the joy I felt before. It’s slowly but surely coming back, but the joy and happiness simply doesn’t feel as deep. Regardless, I love this series and I want it to continue for both reasons. To keep you updated and to have the opportunity to reflect!

This Weeks Happenings

So here are some bite sized joyous moments in my life over the past week. I hope you share yours in the comments!

• Greyson is using more and more sentences. My favorite of the week was after Teylor and I asked him if he liked a food Grey said, “Oh no- I hate it!” It was the first time he said hate and he used it appropriately. We couldn’t help but laugh!

• I had the honor of photographing a beautiful German-American wedding and learning SO much about German wedding traditions (they are seriously awesome)!

• A friend and I brunched over chemistry homework giggling about equations and life. I’m not sure how that happened, but it did and it was such a fun time! Never doubt the power of chemistry, friends 🙂

• Danielle, my friend and amazing hair stylist, brought my hair back to life and I’m feeling more me than I have in weeks! Amazing what a little self care can do.

• Tey and I started watching The Man in the High Castle and oh my word. It’s making me so so grateful! I never want to start a political debate here because it’s simply not the place, but I think it’s safe to say we all feel strain in our country recently. This show, even though it’s obviously fiction, makes me feel SO grateful for America being what it is today. If you have zero clue what the show is about- Google it and give it a watch!

What were your joyous moments of last week? Have fun reflecting and I hope you have a great week, friend!
