I feel like I’m forever saying, “it’s been an eventful week”, but yet again- it has! We’re also seeing more and more beautiful days, and honestly it feels like Germany skipped Spring and went straight to Summer weather!
Europe has been getting some hot temps in the last week- high of 80 and full sun. See what I mean about skipping Spring?!
I have to start with one of my favorite outings this past week- visiting Hattonchatel Chateau! I’m keeping why I went there a secret for now, but I couldn’t wait to share a photo from this beautiful French chateau. It’s in a secluded area and overlooks the towns below it. Hattonchatel is so very stunning!
I’m planning a blog post to showcase Hattonchatel so be sure and check the blog in the next few weeks for that!
In our town there are fountains that get turned on as soon as the weather warms up. Over the last three years, Teylor and I have seen so many kiddos playing in the fountains as they shoot up at different heights and speeds. When we first saw we thought it was slightly strange to have kids playing in what looked like an art feature in the walkplatz. But we’ve come to love it!
We’ve been so excited for the day that Grey is old enough and the weather is warm enough to go play in the town water fountains- and the day came! Greyson was pretty adamant about holding Teylor’s hand, but quickly realized the fun and that he didn’t need Daddy.
He is getting entirely too independent, but we love it!
This past weekend, Teylor found out that we go hiking every Earth Day (although he didn’t know it, but he has). We said thanks to the Earth this year by heading to our favorite trail near Echternach, Luxembourg and hiking a new part of it.
We stumbled across an old war bunker and took in some beautiful new views! Our little family is seriously excited for the warm and sunny weekends- it means more hiking!

find out the secret!
That French Chatuau looks like a stunning place to explore and spend the day! I seriously can’t get over your little one and how much joy he has with that water! It’s also always beautiful to see families out hiking together! So glad you’ve had such an awesome week!
first of all, I love his wardrobe selection for the waterpark, all of my favorite colors together…. and the french chateau…. well, I’d like to live there its beautiful!
how much fun are those vertical water fountains!? He looks like he had a blast! We are currently in some spring like weather, but I see we have a 90 degree day coming next week – I hate when summer barges on in!
This looks like it was such a blast! I love all the sweet moments in the fountain!
Looks like that handsome little guy had a blast in both spots! I love his cheeky smile! And a waterpark is the perfect place to have a great time!
We were in Paris last week and the weather was perfect! I’ll have to check out that chateau — it looks stunning.
Yes! Y’all were here during a great weather week! It’s such a wonderful chateau!
What a gorgeous week to have! The scenery and the weather is just perfect. I can’t wait to explore Europe more some day!
Oh my goodness! I love the water photos so much! Makes me wish our kids were that age again because they loved splashing in the water on hot days. Great candid shots. So fun!
The water photos are amazing!! Is it weird to want to print pictures of children that aren’t yours? Greyson is soooo cute!!
I’m cracking up! Thank you, Jennifer! We think he’s pretty adorable too! I guess printing pictures of kids that aren’t yours would be like using the ‘stock photos’ in a new frame? Lol!
