Because everything deserves a name

You’ve heard of the hashtag FridayIntroductions? Well after a conversation with a friend about some quirks I have I thought, “Hmm why not make a blog post about me”? That sounds terrible when I say it out loud, but I want all of my clients to be my friends and feel like we are a great fit! The best way to know if we will work well together is to get to know me! Then I would love to get to know you! 🙂 And the hashtag and fun alliteration just sealed the deal!

And just because no one needs a blog post once a week solely about me I will also throw in some other random fun facts. So here a series is born– Fun Fact Fridays, est 2016!

Today’s fun fact? I name things! Lots of things! Cora is my adorable purple Honda Fit, Nola is my phone (but each iPhone I’ve had also has a name- Stesha and Kai RIP), Teylor’s phone Bill III, my MacBook Anna, my camera is nicknamed Big Boy… I could go on.

I have even helped my friends name their inanimate objects! That’s how dedicated I am to objects having names. Yes, I realize it is ridiculous you don’t have to tell me. 😉

So there’s your Friday fun fact about me! I am a crazy lady that calls her electronics and other possessions by name- proper noun style. Here are some other fun facts! In the spirit of the recent release of The Cursed Child as well as the Harry Potter exhibit in Belgium I will be going to soon here are some Harry Potter facts (bonus material… I LOVE HP):

• Fred & George were born on April Fool’s Day! How fitting.

• Dementors are based off of a period of depression J.K. Rowling went through in her twenties. I can hear you now, Alicia- why would you mention that as a ‘fun fact’, depression isn’t fun. Well, funny you should ask. I just LOVE knowing that everything happens for a reason. Her book series literally wouldn’t be the same without the role of dementors and she probably would not have dreamt them up if she hadn’t gone through that hard time. So as much as I hate that anyone goes through depression because it is such a serious illness I like knowing that in the future good can come of it!

• Harry, Ron, and Hermione all got their very own chocolate frog cards! They certainly deserved it!

• Harry has some crazy fears– the dark, small spaces, fatherhood, and pigeons. Pigeons, Harry, really? Ha!
