Hermann Park is a Houston classic for an engagement session! Especially now with the newest addition of the McGovern Centennial Gardens. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot for so many reasons, but mostly- all the blooms! It seems like no matter the time of year there’s always something flourishing!
Both Brittany and Chip completely trusted my judgment when it came to location. The couple lives a bit away near College Station but came into town for their Hermann Park engagement session. And at sunrise on a Saturday no less! So you can imagine how dedicated these two were to get beautiful portraits.
There’s something about the trees at Hermann Park that make engagement sessions so magical. And Chip and Brittany’s session was no exception! I’m convinced the oak trees were made for my film style light and bright style. I find it especially true when the sun is out and shining!
These two clearly read my Engagement Session Outfit Guide because they came dressed to impress! Brittany’s white dress has an eyelet pattern and she picked when she wanted her jean jacket in photos- super cute. Chip kept it simple to reflect his true self. And if I had to guess- to keep the attention on his future wifey! Brittany’s red lipstick was a great way to do that and a perfect statement with her look!
Chip, Brittany, and I connected through Pixel Studio Productions for which I associate shoot for. I was so happy we were able to get matched through Pixel- Chip and Brittany felt like instant friends! I was so happy to be able to photograph their engagements, Brittany’s bridal session at Chateau Cocomar, as well as their wedding day at Jennings Trace Wedding Venue. These two are a true joy to work with!
