If I pop into your inbox every Friday then you already know- I’m in Houston! As always, it was a long day of traveling, but I got to Houston safe and sound on Thursday afternoon and can finally say I’m now adjusted to the time zone! This trip though isn’t just for Houston wedding photography.

This week my mother in law is undergoing one of her last steps in her cancer treatment- surgery. She has gone through all of her chemotherapy treatments and handled them- scratch that, conquered them SO well! Our entire family is so proud of her and how she has stayed positive and ready to tackle the next hurdle.

We appreciate any good vibes or prayers you send our way!

And as always some events and learnings from the past week:

• Not having a toddler on the plane makes for a much easier trip. Although, I didn’t know what to do with myself half of the time!

• I’m SO excited to get here more often for Houston wedding photography- I’ve already seen some dream venues and met some amazing couples here! We’ve still got quite a while before we move back, and I move AYP to Houston, but I’m already getting excited about working in Houston!

• Shopping on Sunday is still something I cannot get used to! I will forever be changed by Europe’s “everything closed on Sunday”

• The tradition of having a Whataburger immediately after landing? Yeah, that continued. It’s hard to keep ketosis during international travel! So I had a few cheat days to absorb the foods of Houston. I’m back in ketosis though!

• I’m excited about Eric and Christina’s engagement session this week! It’s the only Houston wedding photography related job I’ll be taking while I’m here so I can focus on family, but I’m oh so excited for it!

What are you excited for this week? I love hearing from you!
