This extended weekend came at the perfect time- thanks Labor Day! The stars basically aligned for us to go to the Houston Zoo and the Houston Museum of Natural Science to see all the dinosaur exhibits. This is Teylor’s last weekend before he starts his chiropractic program and the first weekend all year he hasn’t had to study. Greyson had an off day from preschool. And I didn’t have a wedding this weekend (but I did have an epic bridal session!)- so our staycation of fun Houston activities was a GO!
The Dinosaurs at the Zoo were really great! However, no zoo trip is complete without seeing the aquarium, African animals, and a ride or two around the carousel. So that’s exactly what we did on our Saturday adventure to the Houston Zoo!
All Summer the Houston Zoo has had a dinosaur exhibit filled with animatronic dinos and Labor Day weekend was the last to see it. So obviously we had to make it happen since we’ve been putting it off all Summer. And Grey was more than ready and excited to go on Dino Adventures!
It was our first family outing in quite a while because we’ve all been so busy this Summer. So I couldn’t help but take lots of photos! Plus, the dinosaurs at the Houston Zoo were so realistic. They moved, roared, and some were even furry!
The Zoo is featuring seventeen giant animatronic dinosaurs in a Jurassic Park look alike setting. Some of these creatures seriously looked straight out of a movie! Grey wasn’t super sure about some of the dinosaurs- especially the massive T-Rex and Utahraptor, but all the others he was super interested in.
They even had dinosaur eggs in a nest complete with moving and chirping baby dinosaurs! The folks at the Houston Zoo really thought of everything with this exhibit. We absolutely loved it! We actually went through twice- once right when we got to there at open and another round before leaving.
The Houston Zoo dinosaur exhibit is Greyson, Daddysaurus, and Lammy approved (Momma, too)!
