Filled in :
Something BIG happened in the early 2000s in our great city. Houston got a MetroRail system! One of the first stations to open was Main Street Square. Don’t quote me, but I think that sparked construction making it a fun area in our mainly industry and work-centric city. Main Street Square Houston is now a beautiful downtown area filled with beautiful architecture and greenery, amazing eats and drinks, and of course- shopping!
It’s also one of my favorite places to photograph Houston couples! Elegant Houston engagements, anniversaries, and even wedding portraits! Some photographers see a Main Street Square Houston Engagement as a challenge. It’s true- avoiding pedestrians, eyesores, and other obstacles like signs and trash cans aren’t always the easiest. For me though, the area is filled with inspiration and I’ll take on the challenge any day! After photographing in places like Paris I’m well versed in using perspectives to our advantage. And that’s what I find so fun!
My favorite section of Main Street is just one mile long I could easily roam around with couples for hours. There are beautiful pockets and scenes everywhere- and quite a few hidden gems too! At Chris and Carrie’s second location we vowed to keep it at around an hour so I wouldn’t take up their entire day. Also so we wouldn’t melt! We accomplished it, however, it was difficult! Luckily after photographing at Eleanor Tinsley Park first they were naturals and professionals at all the poses.
Along the walk, Chris and Carrie told me all about different date nights they’d had along Main Street Square Houston, where Chris works, and even where there very first date weekend occurred! I say it nearly every engagement session feature and I’ll say it again. I love when couples choose locations that are meaningful to them! When they look back on these photos they will remember strolling along nuzzling for the camera among some of their most cherished memories. They might also remember me asking them to get extremely close and exchanging far too much body heat. 😉
We took full advantage of that photographing in front of memorable spots while also taking time for them to create new memories along the walk. Carrie spotted an adorable coffee shop that we grabbed a cup of joe while also capturing some beautiful photos! As with their first location just minutes before, these two used their engagement photos to truly show off their personalities and relationship. Which really- isn’t that the priority for your engagement photos? I vote yes!
Carrie and Chris, once again thank you for choosing me to be your Houston wedding photographer! I’m already having a blast with you two and we’ve only just begun! Your Spring wedding is going to be absolutely stunning and it’s going to be an amazing celebration starting off your marriage right!

Alicia, My favorites from this series are the coffee shop portraits, and the ones where they are making each other laugh by making silly faces! Nice work and great website, it’s so beautiful! Really inspires me! xo Mama-T
Can I say, that’s probably the only good thing to come out of the Metro rail…the backdrop! 🙂 Beautifully captured Alicia! Now, send them my way! :p
It truly is! Thank you, Claudia <3 They are getting married in Bellville! Is that in your radius?
