Anniversary Photographer | Military Life | Alicia Yarrish Photography

The past few weeks have had a lot of friend time, and I’m not mad at all about it! One of the reasons people go into business for themselves is the flexibility, right? For military affiliated folks that flexibility is even more crucial. Military life, as with any lifestyle or job, has a lot of ups and a lot of downs.

One of the hardest things about military life is saying, “See ya later”, and in the military world we’re coming up on ‘PCS Season’ which means a lot of tough goodbyes. A good friend of mine has already left, and two more are leaving within the month. It’s crazy to think about people I’ve been friends with since moving to Europe are now heading on to other bases.

I’m thankful for a job that afforded me the time to be able to work a little less and play a little more with friends some weeks!

Furthermore, I’m also thankful to have SO many friends that aren’t leaving any time soon!

Other highlights from my military life 😉

Andrew & Anna’s Paris anniversary session was featured on Love & Lavender! And I couldn’t be more excited!

– We continued that chat about Anniversary Sessions on Facebook Live! Don’t forget I’ll be on this Thursday, May 17th at noon CST!

– We went to our favorite sushi joint over the weekend in Luxembourg- Aka Cité! We recommend it to literally everyone. Grey loves shrimp (yeah, we were shocked too)! However, we were right by assuming he’d love sticky sushi rice. Oh, and we didn’t know it when we fell in love with these restaurants, but Le Sud owns Aka Cité! No wonder we love it so much!

– Mothers Day oh Mothers Day! I enjoyed lots of sleeping and mimosas this Mommas Day and it was glorious! Thanks, Teylor for making that happen! Greyson and Teylor gifted me with some much needed anti-wrinkle cream (I am 100% serious!) and a facial. I’m lucky to have some pretty amazing boys 🙂

– BOTH our cars decided to have problems at the same time. Luckily, both cars will be fixed this week!

– We had a sunny Saturday and decided to blow up the kiddo pool! Greyson loved it, and Juno was confused as to why she wasn’t invited in with us. Perfect way to spend an afternoon!

– Oh, and photographed a beautiful couple and their daughter (see above!). Do you see that model face?!

Never Miss a Beat
