Intimate Paris Elopement | Alicia Yarrish Photography

Somehow it’s Monday once again and time for Monday Rendezvous! Since it’s been some time since I’ve introduced what exactly this series is- I thought now would be a great time just in case you’re a new reader.

Every Monday I have fun writing a light hearted entry on the journal about my past week, anything I’ve learned, and what the next week holds. It’s a fun way to keep you updated on the ‘behind the scenes’ of Alicia Yarrish Photography. If you’re on Instagram, some of this might be ‘old news’, but never the less I love diving into some personal things on the AYP Journal!

This past week in Europe

  • Headed to Paris, France to meet a new friend, Hannah of Ball Photo Co.ย and together we shot the most gorgeous Paris editorial you ever did see!
  • Got to visit with my great friend, Marie over at Lininger Rood Photo and run all over Paris with her!
  • Seeing my tiny human, Greyson, light up when I got back home was magical. Although, he mainly wanted to know what French treats I brought him.
  • Over the weekend Tey and I along with my best friend, Brittany and her hubby, all went hiking! Like, seven hours of hiking. We hiked from Germany to Luxembourg which we think qualifies as backpacking across Europe ๐Ÿ˜‰ We had lunch in one of our favorite towns about mid-hike, Echternach.

Paris Travel Month

Each month I choose a theme to talk about through the journal, Instagram, and Facebook. This month has been all about traveling to Paris and what to do! It’s been an amazing topic to talk about since I adore Paris, but this week I’m wrapping it up.

Next months theme is wedding planning! I’ve lined up great content for you as well as some guests posts from talented wedding industry vendors. To say I’m excited is an understatement!

Looks like an amazing week for you, Alicia! Exactly, we live how we have created. Congrats!

  2. I am in love with this series on Paris. I hope your trip went well and that you get back to visit very soon! BEAUTIFUL WORK!

  3. Jessica says:

Sounds like you had a fantastic time! I desperately want to head to Europe in the near future!

    • You can totally make it happen, Jessica! It just takes a lot of planning and making space for it. If you have specific questions I’d be happy to help you with your Europe trip planning!

  4. Hollis Stair says:

I love Paris so much (and speak quite a bit of french too!) So glad your trip went well and you had the chance to shoot that gorgeous couple above. Also, isn’t it the best when we return home to our little ones and they are so overjoyed?! (Even if they just want the sweets!)

    • Yes! You’re so right- it’s simply the best. Makes my heart happy! And I WISH I could speak French! It’s certainly not for lack of trying. I’m just a more math/science brained human than a language. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Jamie says:

Your European adventure sounds amazing- especially the serious backpacking hike! wow! I just got back from the northern coast of Paris, it was so cold and windy, surprising in summer. Love following your trip!

    • Ugh, yes- there was a lot of rain and wind there for a bit wasn’t there? It’s a beautiful area no matter the weather though! We want to backpack in that area of France as well!

  6. Amy says:

I love what a good job you do about keeping people updated with what you are doing! This is something I need to work on with my photography business. Your posts always make me want to visit Paris as soon as possible!

    • It’s hard, I won’t sugar coat it, but it’s so worth it! I love when couples know about my husband and son- it’s like we are instantly friends! Thank you Kara! That’s a huge compliment for me as so much of my inspiration comes from Paris!
