Monday Rendezvous | Alicia Yarrish Photography | France Wedding Photographer

My Incredible Weekend Happenings

Today’s Monday Rendezvous is a little bit different than most! Over the weekend I had the honor of capturing an absolutely amazing event. Literally, indescribable. Ray and Lindsey invited me into the delivery room and asked me to photograph their birth some time ago, and I think I squealed yes about 10 times. I don’t photograph births anymore as a normal part of my job anymore, but when a friend asks- I squeal!

Having my tiny human was one of the most amazing and difficult and powerful experiences I’ve ever had. It’s not a question I bring up randomly, but I think most women that have had children would agree! And I believe those kinds of moments need to be captured, need to be remembered, and need to be revisited often and left as part of your legacy.

When Lindsey texted me about having regular contractions and heading to the hospital I leaped up and headed there as well! We captured so much of their birth story from the walking, talking and happy beginnings to the painfully difficult parts to the meeting their brand new baby boy.

And meanwhile, my boys were at home watching Moana (I don’t know this for fact, but it’s a guess I’m 99.9% confident in).

Photographing such a sweet time in Lindsey and Ray’s life got me so sappy about MY baby boy growing up way too quickly. I know we all say it- but enjoy those snuggs, y’all! They won’t last forever!
