It’s hard to believe we are on the EIGHTH day of 2018! Days are flying off my desk calendar! I’m not a huge fan of New Year’s resolutions because well, have you seen the meme going around? “New Years Resolutions are meant to be BROKEN”. I’d rather thoughtfully evaluate the previous year and see what needs to change, and why. Then I can make meaningful goals! This year? Among a lot of things, introducing more natural living to my household.

Natural living & how YOU can find out more

I learned a ton in 2017 about the chemicals that go into our everyday products and frankly- it scared the bejeezus out of me! So this year, little by little, we will be throwing out our chemically products and substituting them for a natural alternative. Products that have real ingredients for a great smell instead of the elusive ‘Fragrance’ listed on the ingredient list (what’s in that anyways?!)

So how does natural living have anything to do with today’s Monday Rendezvous? This past week I have really been making an effort to educate those who want to be educated on this topic! Some people will never give up their Mrs. Meyers handsoap or really great smelling shampoo, but I want the world to know that the information is out there. From there you can make your own decision about what products you are comfortable using!

If you’re wanting more info on why I’m choosing healthier alternatives for my family (and want them for my friends!) feel free to email me and let’s chat! I’m a no pressure kind of girl- I genuinely want you to have the information for you to make an educated decision.

When I was first researching this topic I didn’t even what to look for. I didn’t even know what to search on Google! So let me help you with that step 🙂

And of course, what’s the haps over the past week!

• Thunder is the strangest thing to me now. We don’t get it often (like, never) in Germany so hearing the rolling thunder of Houston has been startling for me!

• Greyson is saying ALL sorts of new words! Why do they grow up so quickly?! He says Melmo (Elmo), waffles, Pop Pop, Bammy (which is supposed to be Grammy), Whammy (which is supposed to be Lammy), Big Birr (Big Bird), yeah!, bye (and blows kisses), night night, poo (my not so personal favorite)… and there’s so many more. It’s simply unreal to me!

• I’ve been watching a whole lot of Fixer Upper! Germany needs Chip and Jo in their lives!

• Seeing family, and seeing Greyson with family is the absolute best <3 It’s going to be so fun when we move back and that’s a part of our every day!

• I’m technically on vacation here in Houston, although still getting some work done… but finding it hard to get back to the grind after the holidays. Please, someone, tell me I’m not the only one!

• We’ve been enjoying our brand new Aria diffuser and all sorts of amazing oils! Previously we had a cheapo from Amazon, and it sufficed for a while, but now Teylor and I are majorly regretting not jumping in and grabbing our Aria sooner! It diffuses to a much larger room and blends the water and oils way better.

Your turn! What have you been up to this mighty fine 2018 week?! Anything fun?

  4. Kendra says:

I’m from Texas and though I live out of state now, one of my forever favorite things about Texas is the storms. They are so powerful and such a moving reminder of this great and amazing planet we are part of. I’m glad you got to experience ‘Texas thunder.’

  5. katie ives says:

Seeing my kids and family interact is always the best. Living far away is never fun but I’m so glad when we get to visit each other.

    • It’s so true! We love living in Europe- it’s an amazing experience for us! Being away from family is just inherently hard, but I think when you’re with family it’s even more treasured and valuable.
