Filled in :
This past week was a bit of a blur. Did you play The Sims? I did back in high school, and it was addictive. This past week has felt like my family was basically a ‘sim’ family. We all had opposite schedules and it felt like we were all just passing by one another clicking on the task we needed to do and breezing past each other to do it. It’s a hard feeling to describe!
While I was hard at work about to make lunch, Teylor was waking up and lounging before his ‘morning’ shower. And when I was going to bed he was coming in from work (and Juno was obviously barking to let me know).
Greyson and my schedule didn’t change, but Tey was on a swing shift which is from 3pm – 11pm. It’s the strangest shift!
We’re happy to all be on the day shift together again and feel less like a Sim family!
This past weekend I hosted my ONE mini session day of the year! I usually do two, but this year is a tad bit crazy so it’s just the one. And I had the best 10 families I could have asked for. They were all beautiful, and wonderful, and we had minimal kiddo meltdowns (which is always a win in my book!).
Also this past week I wrapped up the month of talking about Paris travel! In case you missed some of the goodies:
• What to wear in Paris: Your outfit guide to looking like a Parisian
• Where to stay in Paris and tips to finding your perfect Paris neighborhood
• Must have experiences for Couples in Paris
AND *drum roll*, La Keepsake Shoppe has all new Paris fine art prints! There’s also another product coming to LKS soon and I cannot wait to share, but for now- check out all the new Parisian prints and see Paris how I do- inspiring and beautiful.
Next month we’re going over all things wedding planning and I have some great blog posts written for you! Some of it might be things you’ve not yet considered during planning your big day.

find out the secret!
Sounds like you have been very busy this month! I love the images that you have shared with us from your mini sessions! I look forward to reading next month!
Thanks, Chanelle! And yes, busy, but busy is good at times, right? 😉
Busy family for sure! We get that way too- it’s back to school for the kids! That’s awesome that you still had time for your mini sessions, which look great BTW!
I forget it’s already back to school time since my little goes to ‘school’ aka daycare all year! This Summer has flown by. And thank you!
Not going to lie, I’m kind of sad to see the Paris month come to an end… you’ve gotten me so inspired and wistfully thinking of our next trip abroad! But, I’m super excited to see your wedding recommendations!!
Aww! I definitely will be infusing Paris into everything 😉 My love for that city never stops and I tend to talk about it a lot. It probably won’t be the last Paris themed month either!
This is great; may be planning a Paris trip.
You certainly should, Cindy! I cannot recommend a trip to Paris enough 🙂
Oh wow, you’ve been busy enjoying the City of Lights! I’ll check out some of those links in a sec. But first: what fabulous family photos you shared!
Thank you, Mercedes! And yes- It’s been busy and incredible fun in Paris!
I used to love the Sims! And I am super impressed you photographed 10 families in one mini-session event! I don’t do mini-sessions because I tend to spend 1-3 hours on a shoot so that idea is mind boggling to me!
It takes a lot of willpower (and timers), but it’s worth it! So many families request this throughout the year just as a quick update in photos to send to family. Especially around back to school time- most school photos simply aren’t great. If you ever need tips on how to host a mini session day I’d be happy to help you!
I always enjoy to read your blog posts Alicia! You never disappoint!
Thanks, Jan! Appreciate your kind words friend.
I can’t wait to read next months blogs!! I have loved reading all about Paris!!
Lindsay, you’re the best! Thank you 🙂 I’m happy you’ve been enjoying my entries on Paris!
I really enjoyed your series about travel in Paris! Looking forward to whats next. 🙂
That makes me so happy! It’s hard to end my Paris themed month, but I’m excited to jump into wedding planning tips!
