texas a&m engagement session

The wait is finally OVER!

I met these crazy kiddos and their Momma, Laura, at a park to see about babysitting them. Little did I know they would soon become so dear to me! These kiddos have such a personality I wouldn’t even know where to begin. Big brother H is so caring and concerned about his little sister L it simply makes my heart melt. Beneath all that love though they are both high energy kiddos that love to play, and play, and did I say play? 😉 These two are simply perfect even when they aren’t! <3

I don’t want to go into too much detail, but Laura told me one afternoon that her Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Cancer in itself is a scary diagnosis, but this diagnosis was a little scarier because of the less common type and higher staging. As she was telling me all of this I was so hurt for her and sorry it was happening. My heart goes out to her and all the people that get a scary diagnosis, and their families. It is such a hard thing, but this lady has been the definition of overcome! Laura has remained positive in the most encouraging way possible, and her Mom has done the same thing!

I knew I wanted to do something, but really I felt like there is not much anyone can do besides the dedicated doctors and nurses directly involved. All I could think of is sending photos over for her to have during those long chemotherapies, and to be a source of encouragement. So remember that surprise session I talked about on Facebook and was so excited about?! This is it! I love how all of the photos turned out! I was really going for more lifestyle instead of portraits because their Grandma hadn’t seen them in a little while… like little L wasn’t even walking yet! So it was important for me to do my best and capture their little (big) personalities and their abilities.

To support her Mom and all the other women who are daughters, moms, and wives Laura is walking in the Avon 39! I am so excited for her to conquer such a walk and have a impact on breast cancer awareness and fundraising to hopefully END breast cancer! She has NO clue I am promoting her, but how could I not put her Avon 39 website here? If you want to donate or keep up with her training check her page out here! You can even comment to show your support!
